KIDS ACTIVITIES  

Each year we help thousands of cancer patients and their families live life to its fullest.

Victory in the Valley (VV) is happy to work in partnership with Dr. Rosen to provide support and encouragement for kid with cancer and their families.  We provide QUARTERLY ACTIVITIES for kids with cancer, their siblings and parents. 

Our 7^th Friend Volunteers especially enjoy taking refreshments to share with families as they wait for appointments at Dr. Rosen’s office.  VV Canine Friend Volunteers also take their pet therapy dogs to visit with the children, teens and their families.  The kids are thrilled to pet and love their new Canine Friends and the feeling is mutual!  In addition, Victory in the Valley feels privileged to help co-sponsor fun activities for children and teens living with cancer.  2010 events included a trip to the Sedgwick County Zoo in the Spring which was a fun day for over 100 kids and families.  Everyone enjoyed lots of good food, a special painting by Stephanie the elephant and fun feeding and watching the zoo animals.  In July, kids with cancer and their families spent the day at Cross Wind Conference Center in Hesston, Kansas enjoying horseback and motorcycle rides; shaving cream fight; a visit and spraying by the Hesston Fire Department; homemade ice cream and lots of swimming rounded out the day.  VV Kid’s Buddy Volunteers are always excited about helping with parties and special activities planned for kids diagnosed with cancer.
