Thanks to over 200 dedicated volunteers and a small paid staff, Victory in the Valley continues to offer support programs and services to friends and neighbors in Wichita and surrounding communities just the way it was first started: through donations, memorials and non-federally funded grants.

No. Victory in the Valley has remained a privately held establishment for over a quarter of a century and is not a part of or funded by any other cancer organization. Victory in the Valley is not a United Way agency.

Victory in the Valley is governed by a Board of Directors (see link above for complete listing) comprised of oncology professionals, business leaders, cancer survivors and community leaders.

The services we provide are free of charge to those living with a cancer diagnosis. We will not bill your insurance company for any of the services we provide. (Note: There is a minimal fee for VV's annual Women's Weekend; however scholarships are available to anyone in need of financial assistance for this event.)

Victory in the Valley has grown from one support group in 1983, to 18 groups which meet on a regular basis in Wichita and throughout Kansas. Groups include: Brain Tumor, Breast, Kidney, General Cancers and the Kids & Family (childhood cancers) Support Program which meets for quarterly activities. General Cancer groups are open to all cancer patients/survivors and supporters. Meetings are held on a regular monthly or bi-monthly basis with some groups meeting at night and others during the day. Some groups convene at Victory House, while others gather at different locations on both the east and west side of Wichita and in surrounding communities.
