12th Annual
East vs. West Walk/Run
Sunday, August 31, 2003

Victory in the Valley's 12th Annual East vs. West Walk/Run was held Sunday, August 31st, of Labor Day weekend. This fun, family event  provided a real "celebration of life" as cancer patients, survivors, family and friends met together for friendly competition between the East and West, with the goal of having fun while supporting the cancer support programs and services of Victory in the Valley (VV). Through this annual fundraiser, and with the help of our caring and generous supporters, Victory in the Valley has been able to continue providing Cancer Support Groups, Transportation to and from oncology appointments, Emergency Medical Funding for pain and nausea medications, a Cancer Wellness Program, Women's Retreat, offsite Hospitality Centres, and Lodging to those living with cancer.

The pictures from the 2003 race depict the real reason behind this fund raiser -- helping people live life to the fullest -- with encouragement and hope -- as they travel the cancer journey.
