CAREGIVER SUPPORT *"Caregiver Buddies" are also available to offer 1 to 1 support by phone or in person to other caregivers.
KIDS' ACTIVITIES Victory in the Valley (VV) is happy to work in partnership with Dr. Rosen to provide support and encouragement for kids with cancer and their families. Our 7th Friend Volunteers especially enjoy taking refreshments to share with children and their families as they wait for appointments at Dr. Rosen’s office. VV Canine Friend Volunteers also take their pet therapy dogs to visit with the children, teens and families. The kids are thrilled to pet and love their new Canine Friends and the feeling is mutual! In addition, Victory in the Valley feels privileged to sponsor Camp Victory Kids & Family Weekend held annually at Crosswind Conference Center.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM for Cancer Patients/Survivors/Caregivers "Brown Bag Lunch & Learn" meetings will be held throughout the year (please check the Home page for updates as well as the Events page for the next session). Local doctors, nurses and other cancer professionals will share helpful information and provide a time to answer your questions. Contact us or call VV (316) 682-7400 for more information.
QUILTING CLASS The Victory in the Valley Quilting Circle meets the LAST Tuesday of every month from 9:30am to 11:00am at Victory House, 3755 East Douglas. Bring your own quilting work or join in on a group project. Open to cancer patients/survivors and their supporters, this is a great way to enjoy doing needlework and make some new friends who have or are also walking the cancer journey.
